Elation
A photo of the Lincoln High School JROTC drill squad, taken the moment they won first place in an annual drill competition held in The Presidio, a former Army base in San Francisco.
Brains on the asphault
A photo taken nearly two years ago, of a man named Shawn, taken as he scooped up brains from a parking lot nestled between two apartment complexes in San Jose, California. Two men were shot in the parking lot the night before, one in the stomach, one in the head. Shawn is employed by Crime Scene Cleaners, a company which specializes in hazardous substance removal.
